You will arrive to León, after dropping off your bike and suitcase you’ll be able to enjoy a wonderful stroll through the old town and visit the cathedral.
León- Rabanal del Camino 68,6 kms
You’ll start your Camino leaving the city of León towards la Virgen del Camino and Hospital de Órbigo. Then you’ll cross Astorga with a panoramic view of León hills until you reach Rabanal del Camino.
Rabanal del Camino - Ambasmestas 70,3 kms
Today you’ll start pedalling harder as you enter the tough and beautiful ascent towards the Iron Cross (Cruz de Hierro). You’ll go through Ponferrada to venture into the vineyards in the Bierzo valley until you finally arrive to Ambasmestas where you’ll spend the night.
Ambasmestas - Sarria 59 kms
Today’s stage begins with one of the most difficult and emblematic climbs of the Camino that will get you into the Galician land through O Cebreiro. You’ll ascend surrounded by spectacular landscapes until reaching the highest point of the Camino, the Alto do Poio, 1335 metres high. Afterwards you’ll descend crossing Triacastela and arrive in Sarria where you’ll sleep tonight.
Sarria- Melide 61,9 kms
Today you’ll face the last 100 kms of the Camino continuing through a wooded path that will make you cross River Miño while arriving to Portomarín. You’ll get into the towns of Castromaior and Ligonde until your arrival to Palas de Rei. After passing the small village of O Leboreiro you’ll finally reach Melide.
Melide – Santiago 52,9 kms
This last stage will take you to Santiago de Compostela. You’ll leave the land of Melide passing through Boente, Arzúa (where we recommend you to try their tasty cheeses), Pedrouzo and the Monte do Gozo to finally descend towards Santiago walking through the old town until you arrive to the Cathedral. This route allows you to apply for the Compostela certificate at the pilgrim office.
After breakfast our services will end. We suggest you to visit the Cathedral and if you wish to do so attend the pilgrim’s mass celebrated everyday at 12 a.m.
